Make your own chili powder using your home grown chilis. You can mix different chili types together to get the heat you like or stick with one type like I have here. I used a mixture of green and red jalapenos for a medium heat level.

Simply slice the chilis, pop them into a dehydrator and turn it on low. You will know they are ready when they loose all of their sponginess and feel brittle.

Then add everything to your dry mixer and pulse in short bursts until you get the consistency you like.

Stored in a glass jar or plastic container along with a silica sachet, it should last for quite sometime.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
