Lots of people have strong opinions about not using butter when cooking bacon. However there so many ways to cook ‘perfect bacon’ that I might manage to stay out of trouble. Maybe 🙂 .
Last night I was in a rush so although I started cooking these bacon bits with just their own fat, I added a smidge of salted butter at the end to give them a nice red colour.
I waited to the end because the butter would have burnt if used from the start.
